How did it all start?

PakLease was founded by Askari Jafri — a young Pakistani living and working in Perth, Western Australia. Askari studied Information Technology at Southern Cross University and went on to build a career as an IT Operations Manager, overseeing infrastructure and systems for organisations across Australia.

Like many Pakistanis abroad, Askari kept a close eye on home — watching the real estate market grow while family and friends struggled every time they needed to buy, rent, or invest in property. The process was fragmented, opaque, and full of middlemen. There was no single trusted platform that combined clean listings, verified agencies, and the practical tools a buyer actually needs.

Working full-time in tech, Askari decided to do something about it. He began building PakLease in his own time — combining his IT background with a genuine understanding of what Pakistani buyers and agents really need.
